Siew Ting Foo was appointed HP’s Chief Marketing Officer for Greater Asia in February 2021, a rapid rise in her career considering she only joined HP four years ago.
But it speaks to his abilities. Foo has wasted no time advancing HP’s vision of becoming “the world’s most sustainable and fairest technology company” by 2030. In the past nine months alone, she has led three campaigns in the PC and Print category that won awards for outstanding work, as well as the launch of a Pan-HP sustainability campaign for the 2021 Summer Olympics that topped industry ratings in Australia.
A field marketer, Foo believes in “taking action”. In 2021, she launched a global sustainability campaign with two Super Bowl commercials with a story of HP’s inspiring thoughtful ideas on sustainability and DEI. The campaign was launched as part of the Tokyo Olympics. She didn’t stop there, as part of this campaign, HP partnered with start-up accelerator Ocean Impact Organization (OIO) to launch the Generation Impact Incubator, a program in search of the next generation. generation of eco-innovation in Australia and giving young Australians the chance to bring their ideas to life to save the oceans. Campaign exposure generated significant positive gains across all brand imagery metrics.
Foo prides itself on building an inclusive, diverse and resilient team with purpose. During the pandemic, she developed a marketing manifesto called MAGIC to unite and motivate her team. This manifesto consists of five principles that are closely aligned with Foo’s goal of unleashing its potential for high performance results, and serves as the foundation for building deeper connections and brand trust, staying close to audience needs and true to the brand’s purpose.
A strong believer in empowering talent to reach their potential, Foo mentors individual contributors at all levels of HP, and provides leadership to high-potential leaders in the HP Trailblazer program while contributing to leadership initiatives of women throughout the company. She also champions her team’s progress by showcasing and championing it in global leadership and women’s programs.
Foo held several positions during his time at HP. In February 2021, she was promoted to CMO for Greater Asia for HP after her previous position as Vice President and Global Head of Marketing Strategy and Planning, Print Category, her third role in four years at the tech giant. .
