Here is a digital life hack that can lighten the burden. You can use your computer’s email address for a quick and easy shortcut.

Find your printer’s email address

Finding your printer’s email address might take a few minutes, but it’s worth it. There are times when printing just by emailing comes in handy, like you’re on your phone. Before you can print a page, document, spreadsheet, or anything else, you first need to find the email address.

The steps vary depending on the make and model of your printer. We’ll walk through the steps for Kim’s favorite printer, the Epson EcoTank.

First, you need to register the printer from your computer. Here’s how:

  1. Turn on your printer.
  2. Then head to this URL:
  3. From there, download and install Setting up the Epson Connect printer.
  4. Select your printer and press Following.
  5. Click on Printer registration.
  6. Then hit Following.
  7. You will now see the license agreement. Just hit it Accept.
  8. Then hit Following.
  9. When you are ready to print and there is paper in the printer, you get the print confirmation page. To hit Okay.
  10. Follow the on-screen instructions and select To finish.

You will now receive an email notification to your email address. You can now use the Epson Connect service. To print, just follow these steps:

  1. First, create an email. Then attach the documents or photos you want to print.
  2. Enter the email address you received when registering your device.
  3. Send the email!

If you have another type of printer, do some research to see if you can use this feature. Older printers may not be up to the task, so search the manufacturer’s website or your printer’s manual to see if that’s an option for you.

How to print from your phone

There are also other ways to print from your phone. Let’s start by printing from your iPhone or iPad. Most modern Wi-Fi printers support AirPrint, Apple’s printing utility.

Before starting the print job, verify that your gadget is compatible with AirPrint. You can find a list of compatible printers here. Next, make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. Then do this:

  • First, open the page you want to print on the app you are using.
  • Tap the share icon. It’s the box with an arrow pointing up.
  • Then scroll down and tap the printer icon Where To print.

If you don’t see the printer icon or the word Print, it’s likely you’re using an app that doesn’t support AirPrint. You can confirm whether an app supports AirPrint by going to the App Store itself and browsing the user guide or help section of the app.

After that press Select printer and choose your printer. Faucet To print to confirm.

How to print from an Android device

On Android, you will need to access your device’s settings. An easy way to get around is to lower the shade and press the gear icon. This opens Settings, where you can add a printer.

To look for Default print service. This is preloaded on most phones running Android. You can easily connect with printers connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. Once you have chosen a printer, you will see the option to print when a document is open. In most cases, just click on the three-dot menu and select To print.
