PM to dedicate development projects worth Rs 11,279 crore

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate development projects worth Rs 11,279 crore to the people of Mandi State on December 27 in the occasion of the completion of the four years of the mandate of the current state government.

Thakur inaugurated the “Eat Right Mela” at Dhalpur Ground in Kullu District today and addressing the public meeting, he said the prime minister will address a massive public meeting in Mandi on December 27 . He said the prime minister would dedicate 111 MW of capacity to Sawra -Kuddu hydropower project for the people of the state at a cost of Rs. 2,082 crore and also lay the foundation stone for the 148-meter-high Renuka ji dam at build on the Giri River at a cost of Rs 6,700 crore.

The chief minister said the prime minister will lay the foundation stone for the 210 MW Luhri Stage-I hydropower project of Rs. 1811 crore in the districts of Shimla and Kullu and the 66 MW Dhaulasiddh hydropower project which will be built with a expense of Rs. 688 crore. He said it is the first time in the history of the state that development projects worth Rs. 11,279 crore have been dedicated to the people of Himachal Pradesh by any prime minister.
