Was about to fire him: Sisodia on former AAP HP chief Kesari

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday slammed the BJP for inducting Aam Aadmi Party’s Himachal Pradesh Unit Chairman Anup Kesari and called its former party leader “characterless”, adding that the party was set to fire him today for his ‘anti-woman remarks’.

Addressing a press conference here, Sisodia said: “The party which claims to be the biggest party in the world is in such a state that its president and a minister of the Union induct such a person into the party which has complaints against his name and who speaks ill of women.

“The BJP chief ministerial face embraces a characterless man in frustration. Complaints were received about his misbehavior with women and we were about to fire him from the party. Today the BJP inducted him. It is his rightful place,” added Sisodia taking a jibe from Anurag Thakur.

Anurag launches a counter-offensive

Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Saturday launched a counter-offensive against the AAP and Sisodia in particular.

“I welcome the three leaders of the AAP, including its state president, its general secretary and its district president of Una, into the fold of the party. I told them to work as a family. You see, there is a long line of leaders who want to join the BJP seeing the policies and programs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Anurag said.

“That’s the big difference between the two political parties. They were the people who worked for the AAP in Himachal and now Sisodia is accusing them. I just wanted to know why he (Sisodia) is afraid of BJP,” he said.

“The leader of the AAP deserted the party shortly after top leaders visited the state. Like in Uttar Pradesh, AAP applicants will also lose their deposits in Himachal,” Anurag said.

He said the AAP and the Congress pose no challenge to the BJP in Himachal. “Yet we take all elections seriously. The party is making efforts to perform better than before,” added the Union Minister.
